Formed in 2015, Northumberland Hemp grows and processes hemp in Nova Scotia. Hemp was first planted in Nova Scotia in 1604 and we are reviving an old and valued crop to create opportunities in rural Nova Scotia.
We believe hemp products are an essential part of one's well-being. All our products are derived from 100% hemp seed with no additives or preservatives. We take pride in growing hemp with no pesticides or herbicides.

Doug MacEachern
Doug is the owner of Dartek Transport, the largest privately owned "live fish" transport company in Atlantic Canada. Dartek also operates one of the largest fish hatcheries in Nova Scotia for trout and salmon. Doug is interested in seeing underutilize farm land back in production and providing employment in rural Nova Scotia
Before entering the fields of hemp, Mr. Jardine spent nearly 20 years at Sobeys serving as the Senior Vice President of CIO. He enjoyed supporting Sobeys' quick growth by providing the company with state of the art technology. Mr. Jardine also spent time as a Vice President at X Wave and served as an independent consultant with Man and his Dog Consulting.
